How to get to Cortondo City?
The most straightforward path to reach Cortondo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is by exiting Mesagoza through its western gate and then following the road until you arrive at the town.
Alternatively, you can make your way to Cortondo city by venturing northwest from Cabo Poco, although this route involves covering a significant amount of terrain. Another option is to depart from Cascarrafa via the southwest road, continuing until you reach the West Province (Area One) - Central Pokémon Center, and then proceeding southeast to Cortondo.
If you find yourself confused, set Cortondo as your destination on the map to have it displayed as a waypoint on your mini-map. Once you arrive, the Gym can be found in the middle of the town's main street.
By the way, you're in close proximity to a Bronzor location, which can be particularly valuable if you're playing Pokémon Scarlet and intend to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge in the future.
The gym is situated on the southern side of the city, specifically to your left as you enter from the direction of the Cortondo (East) Pokémon Center.
The first required step to defeat gym leader katy in Pokemon Scarlet And Violet is completing the Gym test. To do that you are required to complete the Olive Roll challenge in order to meet the requirements for Cortondo Gym.
Olive Roll Challenge:
Upon entering the gym, approach the receptionist to commence the Gym Test, known as the Olive Roll Challenge.
After talking to the Gym Staff leave and head north-west and follow the road to the left then head up once you pass the sandwich shop and you will reach the Olive Roll Maze.
The test itself is pretty simple you just need to roll the large olive through a obstacle course in order to place it at the basket at the end. You won't be able to roll the olive over the fences or the row of Smoliv Pokemon even though it looks like you should be able to. There is also a hidden timer to this test which isn't displayed so you need to get the mini game completed as soon as you can.Battle Gym Leader Katy
After depending on what part of victory road you are in the questline you might have to also fight Nemona after this point. The Grass Badge would be a good option to get next since the Pokemon have similar weaknesses.
