Neo Genesis Pokemon Card Expansion

The Neo Genesis Pokemon card expansion contained Pokemon cards from gold, silver expansions and was the first expansion to feature generation II Pokemon of the Johto region. It was the 9th Pokemon trading card game expansion to be released and the first of all of the Neo Sets. It was released during December 16, 2000. A total of 111 Pokemon cards are in the Neo Genesis set and 19 of them are holographic cards it was also one of the first sets to include Dark and Steel type Pokemon cards along with baby pokemon and the Pokemon generation II cards with the new art design from the Neo sets.

Error Card Information:
  • Meganium for the first edition and unlimited edition the pokemon power title is black color instead of red.
  • Slowking first edition and unlimited edition the damage is off center on the card.
  • Typlosion first edition and unlimited edition the damage is off center on the card.
  • Horsea first edition and unlimited edition's energy cost symbol for its attack is off center.
  • Natu's energy symbols are moved to the left margin for it's attack.
  • Focus Band first edition and unlimited edition has a white bar under the card image picture because of the card being not properly positioned during the design process.
